Hola readers.

This is going to be a blog about a book that me and my class read all to gether as a class.

1. What is the name of the book we have read as a class and who wrote it?

          The book is named holes and it was created by Louis Sachar.

      2. What was the book about?

        

           It was about this kid who was acused of stealling and got sent to camp green lake as a punishment               of stealling and was made to dig hole in the hot waste land

       3. Who was your favorite character and why?

           I would say Zero because he stays quite and doesn't talk till he tryes to make his escape. He also                 confices to stealing the shoes and then apogices for everything.

        4. Did you enjoy the book? Why?

            I would say that I kind of liked it because i got a bit confuese because I had watch the movie first                and the book was a bit diffeerent from the movie so it was a bit weird.

         5. What were the similarities and differences between the book and the movie? (Write one thing that                 was the same and some thing the was different)

    

            The charaters names and the layout of the camp were the same. But the differents was how the                    shoes landing in stanlys hands in the book thay fell off a car and in the movie they were tossed of                the bridge and hit stanly in the head.

         6. Did you enjoy the movie and why? 

             I really enjoyed the movie because it gave me the real idea of the story.

 

          7. would you recommed the book? who to?

               I would only recommed the book to people who are in to stories like holes.

term 2 reflection

Reflection 

Hola Readers,

This blog post is my term 2 reflection. It reflects what happen last term and what I thought about the classes I had. 

Art: 

art was a bit boring until I finshed my work and I got to make pokemon out of clay. For our progict we had to make a stopmotion with clay characters  had a little help from rye when i was making it, it does look a bit weird because someone had destoryed our clay creation.

Deigital teach:

It was so fun when we were aloud to play games, but the work that we had to do was super fun. we had to use PIXEL ART whitch was fun when we had to make stopmotion. If the stopmoiton had about 100 pages we got a mashmalow. we got to use vr headsets to look at our games that we made and we got to use our phones to watch vr youtube videos just so that we got to play around on the head sets.

PE:

PE would be my favorite by far. we got to play hockey and volleyball, I really like hockey a lot more than most sports because it includes running, rules to keep people safe and lots of people can join. we also got to play football/soccor, netball and basketball. 

Drama:

Drama was really fun because got to make our own play. Me and my friends made a wedding sence and a court sence. Sometimes we had to practice a play from a book that we were given we even recorded our practice but it got ruined with someone walking in on our play. 

I will be doing a reflection blog post each term. They will mostly be about what classes I had that term. I would normal think that PE wouldn't be one of my favorites but it is.

Stop Motion

   Stop Motion 

Hola readers,

This term I have art as one of my subjects I don't really like it, It isn't really fun at school but it is really fun when you have nothing you have to get done. I love working with clay and making pokemon. This blog post is going to be about stop motion that we made by hand. I partnerd up with my friend named rye to make the stop motion. The stop motion it right down there🔻

The stop motion was about two Among Us charatars landing on a planet and looking at a crystal rock and then they fly away in there space ship. It was really fun to do making each clip was super fun but a bit hard to do.

Reflections

 Reflections

Hola readers,

Today I am doing a reflection blog. The reflection blog post is so that I can reflect on what happened at school last term. There were lots proplems and lots of happy moments to.

Proplems:

A lot of drama went down with my friend group and an other friend group. a lot of hate went around my class. 

I was in a class I really didn't like and I got really stressed over it and confused. I was in a group that I really hated then I got a group change and then everyone got a group change that would happen ever week.  

Fun and Good Things that happened:

I met knew people named Bronte and Taylor. I got to do experiment in sience that i would never ever do outside the sience class.

Me and my Friend stayed together even if we had a little fight. I'm still in the same friend group as last year and we still play volleyball like last year.

There are lots of proplems that are still happening but we are trying to fix but our friend group still has a strong friend ship connection.

Skittle Colours Experiment

 Skittle Colours

Aim:

I want to find out what happens when you mix Skittle colours.

Method:

Equipment:

• Skittles
• Petri dish
• Warm water
• Beaker
• White background

Instructions:

1.Get your equipment

2.Place you Petri dish on the white background 

3.Put your skittle around the inside edge of the Petri dish

4.Gently, Pour warm water into the middle of the petri dish 

5. Observe what happens

Prediction: 

I think that the colours are going to spread out around the water and slowly mix, and the main part of the skittles are going to turn white and maybe start Turing the shell remain clear. 

 

I noticed that the colours started to spread towards the centre of the dish and mad a triangle shape. 

Discussion:

1. The colours dissolved (When a solid is mix into a liquid, creating a solution). 

Why does the colours dissolve?

REASON 1:

The reason food colours meet in the centre of the plate and not mix is because the food colour has the same sugar amount dissolved from each skittles, when the sugar dissolves it pushes outwards into the rest of the solution, sending the colour outwards as well.   

REASON 2:

The skittle colours have tons of molecules and molecules don't like to be near other molecules so the colour spreads outward towards the centre where no colour is, so it diffuses (spread over a wide area or between a large number of people) towards the centre.  

The Treaty of Waitangi

Kia ora 

Today we will be talking about the treaty of Waitangi. This past few weeks we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi. Our teacher set up some questions for us to answer. Then we had to choose 2 questions out of the drawing.

In what ways is a contract or treaty

like a computer? 

The treaty is like a computer because we have shared the treaty with others like I am on my blog post now. I am going to write a list of the reasons I think the treaty is like a computer.

1. They shared the treaty with the country

2. They connected to make a treaty

3. They each played a part in the treaty/contract








Give as many reasons as you can why a contract is like a sandwich :



1.Because there are many different things that people put into a treaty and that's the same for a sandwich 


 
A few weeks ago my class had to make a google drawing and put some of the facts that we knew.









That's all I have to say right now about the treaty. I did this blog post with my partner and some friends, we might have simulator parts in our blog. Here's a question for you to find out yourself, When was the Treaty of Waitangi signed??

SLJ Colouring in

 Colouring 

Hola readers,

For our first task of summer learning journey we started with kick start. Kick start was a colouring in task. The colouring in was faster than real colouring in.

  

This task was so fun to do and it was fast and I think that the rest of the tasks are going to be fun.
