All about me

Kia ora readers, My name is Sonnie and I go to Hornby primary. The
classroom I am in is the new red block class 9.

I'm 10 and a year 6 in my School It's also my last year at school. My teacher
this year is Miss D. She is a really nice teacher. I have also made a new
friend Akimano.  We have been doing some awesome work on ourselves.
At the beginning its was a good year for me and my friends.

Hola Amigos . Me and room 7 have been working on using a picture prompt to do some describe writing

This was our picture

First we did a padlet brainstorm of what we could see.

See:

Bright sun surrounded by the light blue sky. The clouds were making way for the sun to shine through.Blue waves pushing against the current of the sea.The reflection of the sun on the water was so beautiful.

Feel:

When I step on the soft sand it crunches beneath my feet.

Hear:

I could hear the waves crashing into each other

Smell:

I could smell the salty sea water.

Then we have to write our information in paragraphs. I am still working on mine :)

100 word count

100 Word Count

Kia orana guys. Me and my class have been making 100 word long stories. I've been trying to get all of my 100 word count stories from week 2 to week 9 completed. It's really really hard. I'm on to my 4th story I just want to show you how much I have done, but it is hard like I said.

Here is my 100 word count story from week two.  We had to use the 5 words at the top.

SALT   BROWN MELTED   GIRAFFE GREASY

I was going to the zoo with Tiana and Shylah, before we left Tiana made cooked eggs when we ate it, it
was soooo greasy, before we left again i was looking for my metal bracelet i ask tiana and shylah then i
saw it on the oven it was melted and brown, when we finally got to the zoo we went to the cafe there was
salted caramel ice blocks, Tiana and Shylah wanted to see the Giraffe when we got there “where are all
the giraffes?” Tiana said. But there were none there they had all gone.

I don't know what day we started this slide but we started to learn about bugs, we learnt so many facts and just one joke. The first thing we had to do was find a partner to make a slide with, my partner was Talisa . Then after we found a partner we had to make a slide. before we started making the slide Talisa said a joke that was "bee positive". 
When we finished all our writing we were allowed to decorate but Talisa didn't like any backgrounds so I said she could pick. 

If you don't know what pollinators and decomposers are I'll tell you. Pollinators are the work bees because work bees collect the pollen from the flowers and then drop it off at other plants which means they are cross pollinated and can produce fruit. The decomposes are the worms, they eat the dirt and poop out soil. Here is the side me and Talisa made.
